Get free energy in @Gasff_botWhy does sending USDT on TRON cost TRX?
Every USDT-TRC20 transfer runs a smart contract, and smart contracts consume energy. A transfer to a wallet that already holds USDT needs about 65,000 energy; a transfer to a wallet that never held USDT needs about 130,000.
If your wallet has no energy, the network burns TRX to pay for it. That is the fee you see in your wallet app. Each transfer also uses about 345 bytes of bandwidth, which is free up to a daily limit and then also burns TRX.
With energy delivered to your wallet before you send, the energy part is covered and nothing is burned for it.
FAQ
Is it safe to paste my address?
Yes. A TRON address is public, like an account number. The calculator only reads public blockchain data. It never asks you to connect a wallet, sign anything or share your seed phrase.
Why does my result say 0 TRX burned?
Your wallet already had energy (staked TRX, rented energy or delegated energy), so the network did not burn TRX. The energy you used is shown instead.
How much does one USDT transfer cost without energy?
It depends on the current energy price set by the network. The calculator shows today's price: roughly 65,000 energy for a wallet that already holds USDT and 130,000 for a new wallet.
How does GFF help?
GFF delivers 65,000 energy to your wallet for a transfer. During the airdrop (Nov 5 – Dec 5) there are 1,000 free recharges a day, one per user, after completing the tasks in @Gasff_bot. Bandwidth fees are not covered.
